Is the church affiliated with a denomination?
We are a non-denominational (Christian) church that uses the Bible as our sole guide for our faith and practice.
What should I do with my children during the service?
Your children are welcome to worship with you, or we are committed to providing the most loving and caring nursery staff and environment as possible for your child. Do as the Lord leads! Word of Love Christian Church nursery will provide services during our Sunday morning service. Our nursery is open to all children ages one to five years old. It is located in the lower level of the church building. Small children can learn simple lessons from the Bible, and to love and trust God. WOLCC has structured Bible learning time, activity sheets, and story time for your children. All curriculum and methods are designed to be age-appropriate.
Do you have a youth group?
Yes, we have a ministry to students from elementary to high school. The Children of Destiny meet every Sunday at 9:00 and take part in worship service every 4th Sunday. Teens of Faith meet every 1st and 3rd Sundays at 9:00. Feel free to contact us for more information.
What should I wear to a Sunday service?
There is no “dress code” for our services. We're really not interested in your clothes, dress in what you find comfortable from jeans, shorts, and t-shirts to suits and formal dresses.
What can I expect at a typical Sunday service?
You can expect to be greeted warmly, encouraged by others, and to have your heart and mind connected to God. We’ll worship by singing, praying, giving, reading from the Scriptures, and by being challenged directly from God’s Word.
Do you take an offering? Will I have to give anything?
We do take an offering during the service, but the purpose of that is to give our members the opportunity to joyfully give back to the Lord a part of what we have received from Him, as a form of worship. If you are a visitor, feel free to simply let the offering plate pass by, or, better yet, fill out a welcome card and place it in the plate so we can get to know you better.
Do you sing only hymns, or contemporary worship songs, too?
We use both hymns and contemporary praise music in our times of worship. We love songs that elevate our view of God, Christ, and Calvary, and that cause us to worship with a sense of wonder and awe.
What version of the Bible does your church use?
You can bring any translation you choose, but the one that is used for church service is the King James Version.
I am dealing with problems in my life. Can you help me?
Absolutely, a pastor will be happy to meet with you. Contact us any way you'd like, and we will get you the help you need and pray for your needs.
Do you have wheelchair access?
Yes. We have a ramp for easy access into the church. If you need specific help, let us know and we’ll be happy to have someone on hand to assist you.
