Prayer. We all want it when situations arise, but if we really want a revelation of just how powerful prayer is, we must be willing to lose our way of thinking and invest in the Kingdom of God and pray true, sincere, honest prayers continually. When we’re humbly communing with God, prayer is the catalyst for us to change by taking up our cross and following Him. Then, we'll watch how He changes situations!
When we choose to do things without His love and forgiveness, we’re only doing those things that seem right, according to our own standards of what’s right. The more we seek Him and start to apply the Word of God in our lives, the more we’ll stop speaking, thinking and looking at darkness. We’ll build our faith in prayer with an unwavering mind of Christ. Is it possible? 1 John 4:4 says, "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world."
When we PRAY — Praise, Repent, Ask and Yield — we’ll experience the power of God. “Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.” (Isaiah 43:1-2) Now that’s creative, storm-calming and miracle-producing power!
So, how can we pray without ceasing? Let’s understand what "not" ceasing means: continual, without stopping, without ending; no intermission or break in the effort started. God is glorified when we pray before, during and after every choice and decision in every aspect of our lives.
What happens when we pray? We’re equipped to handle what comes our way; we’re empowered to endure and overcome what comes our way; and He’ll be edified by our thanksgiving because He’s already handled what comes our way! “Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Quench not the Spirit.” (1 Thess. 5:16-19) When we pray, resurrection is on the way! Prayer is our preparation, protection, provision, and promise so that we may be content and confident to be a witness and testimony of His Kingdom. We glorify God when we’re willing to PRAY and LIVE KINGDOM!
